Tolerances:

Wet soils, humid environments

Bacterial Canker 
 

Susceptibilities:

Very Susceptible to crown gall, can sucker 
 

Precocity:

Lower than Colt 

 

Support:

Self supporting.  No structures required. 

   

 

 

Notes

Some varieties can exhibit late fall shutdown on Mazzard F12/1.
High vigour and crown gall susceptibility may be a problem in New Zealand.
Newly reintroduced into New Zealand and being reevaluated.
May have a place in wet sites.
Suckers heavily, especially with some cultivars.
