  Fruit Size: Large to very large.  Average fruit weight 11 to 13 g.  Size 28-32 mm.

Flat Heart

  Skin Colour: Dark red

  Flesh Colour: Very dark red 
  Hardness: Hard to very hard; crunchy 
  Flavour:

Very good, sweet, not very acidic (11 to 13 g/1 juice)

Gross Qualities

  Cracking: Susceptible at ripening but not at maturity 
  Stem: Short and fat 
  Storage: Excellent potential, especially for an early season fruit

  Cropping: Medium to good productivity.  Non precocious

  Pollination: Not self fertile.  Van, Burlat, Hedelfingen and Stark Hardy, Giant and Samba® good pollinators

Notes

 

Bigalise has remarkable hardness and size for the season but needs patience and attention to pollination.
A very sought after large crunchy hard piece of fruit.
